Does Every Website Need Search Engine Optimization?
This is actually a question asked by many website owners and webmasters; however, there is probably no definitive answer as it really depends on what type of optimization you are thinking of.
If you are thinking of the normal SEO methods that many companies use, such as relevant title tags and Meta tags, then no, not every website is in desperate need of this type of optimization. This is mainly because most websites already have been designed and built correctly by competent web design companies. Therefore all of the title and Meta tags are often properly written, targeted and focused on the best keywords for that particular website or websites niche.
However I do still seen many companies selling incredibly expensive tag alterations services to websites and website owners that simply do not need this type of search engine optimization. This is about as effective as painting a red wall red, it really won’t make any difference other than to your wallet!
But if you begin to look at optimization techniques that are slightly different, then yes many people’s websites do need this. But what are these slightly different techniques?
This type of search engine optimization is all about tapping into existing websites and their current traffic. For example think of a very well-known, enormous, video sharing website. Now imagine creating some highly optimized videos, targeting your niche and distributing them to this video sharing site. Not only will people see your videos whilst they are on the said sight, but they will also see your video appear in major search engines such as Google when they search for the optimized keywords.
Video marketing is just one method that enables you to get more traffic and targeted customers to your website. There are also many other incredibly effective websites, traffic sources and methods that you can tap into and optimize for.
